I'm returning to work on this site again in earnest. A tough year with some family members lost. Also lost jobs and playing caregiver again. That kind of stuff eats into your time seriously. Even my main blog ThrewMikesEyez wasn't getting the daily attention it once did. So I'm working my way back into a routine where I hope to fill out this site, organize it better and learn the tools available and put it all to good use.
So off to upload a few hundred shots today. Have a great shooting day.

Uploading old image from Kodak 812 camera. Just got my new laptop today so I will be restoring from backup and loading the Nikon images before the end of the week. No won't be finished everything but getting back in business. I also hope to start shooting again on Thursday. Been under the weather and still working at the job that pays the bills.
I did manage to get the 3 software packages loaded on the new system for the 3 cameras. Wish I was feeling better though. Would make the work more enjoyable.

I always take my best pictures when I have a camera in my hands. As of late I haven't had it there as much as I like. Which translates into missed opportunities. I was reminded of this as I was editing some older photos and I found one that I had just snapped going over a bridge out the window. Its not a great photo, but it symbolized that day to me. It was on the way home from the beach and it said "relaxed" to me.
Each time I see it I get that feeling back.
Just signed up here today. So far so good. Seems intuitive and comes well recommended. I had been on photo.net but they went through a major version change that I couldn't deal with any longer after 2 weeks. Had been with them for 9 years so it was a shame to leave what I thought worked so well. Yeah it was a little old in tooth but it was a very worthwhile site till this change.
Plus this has some advantages as well that I was interested in so it was an easy call the more I look at it.
Please be patient. My main computer also died so I have to get a new one and get a backup restored of my last few years of images and start the upload. I had a few thousand on the old site and I was behind on things there so it will be a bit each day. I'll start with some old digital images from the clunker camera.
So I hope to see a lot of inspiring work here and continue my learning curve to one day remove that amateur photographer from my title.
